about THE PTA

Did you know that the PTA (Parent Teacher Association) is the largest volunteer child advocacy group in the United States with over six million members?  According to the National PTA website, the PTA's mission is to provide "a powerful voice for all children; a relevant source for families and communities; and a strong advocate for the education and well being of children". For more than 100 years, the PTA has promoted this mission. Parents and teachers continue to work together as part of the national effort to make a positive impact on the lives of our children and achieve the goals of PTA.

The Ashley Falls PTA board is comprised of parents who have said YES! to advocating for their child(ren), as well as all children attending Ashley Falls, by joining the Executive Board, and working to provide an extraordinary school experience.  Board members are elected annually by the Association (parent members) and meet monthly. Our Ashley Falls PTA is governed by bylaws specific to our PTA.  We work closely throughout the year with Mrs. Pecorella, teachers and staff to provide exciting and educational presentations, programs and events for students, families, teachers and staff.
