WHY JOIN THE PTA?

  • The PTA provides funds to Ashley Falls School beyond what the state provides. The additional funding ensures our children are getting an extraordinary school experience. Your contribution to the Ashley Falls PTA directly benefits your child’s education.

  • PTA funds provide classroom mini-grants to our teachers, which help ensure our teachers have all needed supplies to support their curriculum.

  • PTA funds also provide for a variety of school-based programs and community building events (please see the programs page for more info). The PTA has also regularly made a substantial "gift to school" to support teaching and learning at Ashley Falls

WHO SHOULD JOIN THE PTA?

You!! Our goal is for every Ashley Falls family to be members of the PTA.  We want 100% participation! Every contribution makes a difference!​

IF I JOIN, WHAT WILL I HAVE TO DO?!

Nothing!! Members have no obligation to volunteer, attend meeting, etc.! While volunteers are vital to the PTA and the programs we fund, we understand not everyone has the time or desire to volunteer. And that's ok! Your membership donation is important to fund our community and school based programs. And if you are interested in getting more involved, there are tons of volunteer opportunities too!  Plus your membership gives you the right to vote on how funds are being used, among other things, at our general association meetings. ARE THE PTA AND DMSEF (aka THE FOUNDATION) THE SAME?

No. Your DMSEF contribution goes to the school district to help pay for our STEAM+ teachers' salaries. DMSEF and PTA donations are used differently (but both important!).

WHEN SHOULD I DONATE?

Donations are accepted throughout the year.  However donating during our fall Giving Campaign will provide you with lots of goodies and benefits!  We hope you will consider giving at the Eagle level or above, however ALL contributions will help us reach our goals! 

PTA Supports DMSEF

The Del Mar Schools Education Foundation (DMSEF) is a parent-run non-profit 501(c)(3) organization that raises funds for specialized, credentialed STEAM+ teachers across the Del Mar Union School District (DMUSD). We are proud to be part of a district where the vast majority of families and many business partners contribute to DMSEF every year. Working together, our foundation’s goal is to fund 40% of our STEAM+ specialists’ salaries. DMSEF’s partnership with our school district is a key component in consistently placing DMUSD in the top 1% of school districts in California. DMSEF is celebrating 20 years raising funds in support of our school district. We are proud that our fundraising last year will enable outstanding STEAM+ programs across DMUSD in our schools this year.
